Pennsylvania Governor's Residence

For those interested in history and the arts, the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence is a 30,000 square foot Georgian Style home designed by architect George Ewing. Completed in 1968, it has served as a home to eight governor's and their families. The Residence has unique green features, beautiful gardens, a curated art collection, and is available for tours.


Midtown Cinema

Harrisburg's independent art house theater dedicated to enriching, connecting, and educating the community through the art of film. The Midtown Cinema was founded in November 2001 by Allen Brown and Todd Shill. For seven years, Mr. Brown brought the most innovative independent and foreign films to Harrisburg and Central PA. LIFT Development LLC now owns the Midtown Cinema and continues to expand on the vision Mr. Brown started. The theatre is managed by Stuart Landon, Director of Community Engagement, and Adam Porter, Director of Operations.
